If you’re a ministry leader who is barely making ends meet, you’re not alone.

Month after month, you show up faithfully. You pray. You serve. You cast vision. And yet your fundraising feels stuck. Donations are flat. Monthly support isn’t growing. And the stress of wondering “Will we have enough?” never really goes away.

It’s exhausting.

And in that place, it’s natural to start searching for the one thing—the one change, strategy, or breakthrough that will finally bring explosive fundraising growth and fix everything overnight.

But here’s the hard truth most ministries don’t want to hear.

The Myth of Overnight Fundraising Growth

The idea that there is one thing that will suddenly create explosive growth is mostly a myth.

Yes, you may see stories online of ministries that experienced rapid growth. But those stories are rare—and often incomplete. What you don’t usually see is what happens after the growth.

Many ministries aren’t prepared for sudden increases in support. Systems break. Teams get overwhelmed. Burnout sets in. And the growth often isn’t sustainable.

In reality, overnight fundraising growth isn’t what most ministries actually need—or want.

A Better Way: Slow and Steady Growth

At the beginning of this year, the Lord kept placing one phrase on my heart:

Slow and steady.

And if you’re anything like me, that can feel uncomfortable.

We want results now. We want to see growth quickly. We want proof that our work is making a difference. But God is not impressed by speed. He is not measuring productivity the way the world does.

Slow growth is not failure.

Slow growth is not a lack of faith.

Slow growth can be faithful, intentional, and deeply fruitful.

Why Consistency Matters More Than Speed

What actually leads to healthy, sustainable fundraising growth is consistency.

Not massive pushes followed by burnout.

Not trying everything at once.

Not starting strong and disappearing when it feels discouraging.

Consistency looks like:

  • Showing up regularly for your donors

  • Communicating clearly and simply

  • Applying small improvements over time

  • Staying faithful even when results feel invisible

When you do a little, consistently, over time—God multiplies it.

That’s how trust is built.

That’s how donor relationships deepen.

That’s how fundraising becomes sustainable instead of stressful.

Small Steps Add Up

You don’t need to overhaul everything today.

Start with one small step:

  • Clarify your fundraising message

  • Simplify how you communicate your need

  • Stay consistent with donor updates

  • Apply one practical change at a time

Over time, those small steps compound. And what once felt stuck begins to move.

If You Feel Stuck, You Don’t Have to Walk Alone

If you’re at a point where you feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or unsure how to move forward—there is help.

You don’t need another quick fix.

You need clarity, consistency, and support.

That’s why I offer one-on-one coaching for ministry leaders who want to:

  • Clarify their fundraising message

  • Remove guilt and anxiety around asking for support

  • Create consistent, donor-focused communication

  • Build sustainable growth without burnout

You don’t have to rush.

You don’t have to force growth.

You just have to take the next faithful step.

Slow and steady still works.

And God is faithful with every step you take.
